A pink maned unicorn came trotting about on the embarkment. Laughing out loud, she danced in the breeze singing along a happy tune. It had been drizzeling just a few days ago, and Wellyboot cheerely jumped into the water on the ground. She was on her way to the inn to get something to eat.

Whirl stood at the edge of the dock and watched the boats bobbing on the water. Her father had instructed her to return in time for her daily lesson, but already that time had passed. She didn't care. She was tired of her lessons, which were long and cumbersome out in the gardens and woods of Xanadia. She would rather be here, watching the beautiful boats. Tall and regal with sails billowing in the high winds, the majestic ships whispered to her the things one could build if one only dared to dream.

About thirty feet infront of her, Wellyboot spotted another pony. Social as she was, she was´nt afraid to just a few moments later call out a: "Hello!" She smiled brightly towards the mare. "Who´re you? I´m Wellyboot!" Then she falled silent for a moment as she continued walking. How emberassing to shout like that. What if the stranger apparoched and just walked by, ignoring her? Or perhaps she did´nt that she was talking to her; as she shouted, you could almost belive that she´d been calling for someone by the edge of the forest. But there was no other pony nearby ... When would she ever grow up?
Wellyboot felt a sweatsrop on her forehead as she blinked hard and put a wide smile on her face. "Er - yeah! I was talking to you..." She leaped over the puddles and reached the stranger. "Uh, hello. Sorry if I strattled you". She smiled friendly.
"Oh, good, then" Whirl said. "I was beginning to think I'd gone soft in the head." Her smile was bright. "I'm Whirl, by the way. You are?" In truth the pony looked familiar, but there were so many of them around. "Wellyboot, did you say?"
