What is Xanadia?
The ponies of Xanadia is a people with an anicent culture. They live in a quite big city deep into the greenery of the forests. A long time ago, thousands of years ago, the pony race lived like the Xanadian ponies do today. But as time went on, the ponies spread across the world to settle at places like Dream Valley. And after generations, the ponies forgot about magic - as they used to know it. Still they may have specific or personal powers, and the rainbow of light is guarding their lands, but they have no idea of what a society of everyday magic would look like.
Many of the Xanadians are good at herbalimsm, and the old druids and other magicks are still very powerful there. From Dream Valley, Xanadia is located on the other side of the planet. The only remaining of their culture on that side is the Fatum Isles. The ponies of Fatum know that, but are keeping it a secret. There is a portal between Fatum and Xanadia, letting those of knowledge pass trough it in order to reach the other place.
So why is Xanadia kept a secret?
Well, it's simple. The ponies in Xanadia wants to protect their culture. They do not want ponies from the other side to bring television and elecricity to their homelands. Few Xanadians ever leave Xanadia. But some do. The wise ponies of Xanadia do not like it, though. They belive that the youngsters will try to bring the technology home to their peaceful forest. Or, that they will get addicted to TV and other modern commodities so much that they stay on the other side. And therefore, the risk of having them telling about Xanadia gets dangerous for them.
So what's the culture like?
Magic is an everyday thing in the enchanted land of Xanadia. Trees are purple, blue fire gives life to torches, old temple ruins crown the forests and soaring orbs are dancing over the meadows. There are still many wise and powerful druid ponies, and other magicks.
The ponies that live in Xanadia usually master the art of herb elixirs, and are specially fond of objects such as dreamcatchers, that actually work in their lands. The buildings that do exist in the city are made out of stone, and there are cobblestone paths between them. As there is no electricity, the ponies use oil lamps to gain light, or lanters that are glowing blue. There is also a well in the city where the ponies get their water, but there is also some at the other regions of the city. The Xanadian ponies don't fear to drink the water of the rivers, either.
