Winterberry was in her room of her apartment. She was brushing her pink and purple mane. She was sitting in front of her mirror, smiling. "Ah, I am so beautiful." She said to herself. After she finished brushing her mane, she walked over to her dresser and put her brush on top of it. She looked in her drawers to see if she could find something to wear. She then found a pinkish purple hair clip. It was her favorite hair clip. She went over to the mirror and put it in her beautiful mane. She smiled. She was satisfied with her hair. She walked out the door. (cont. elsewhere)

(cont. from the Inn) The white mare stepped into her apartment, hoping her new friend was following. "Well, here we are!" She shouted with a grin.

((cont. from Inn))
The green unicorn followed her friend into her appartment with light quiet steps. It felt strange to be indoors of a living space, even if it was neat and pretty as Winterberry's. MeadowGreen was accustomed to sleeping outdoors, and she only slept little anyway, spending most of her time practicing her music.
"You have a very lovely home Winterberry." She said to the other with a smile. "Do you live here alone though?"

The white mare smiled back. Thanks. And...yes, I do live alone." She said a bit slowly. "So, anyway, follow me to my room, where the crystals are..." She said, walking slowly to her room as she waited for the unicorn.

MeadowGreen was a little puzzled by why the white mare had replied a little slowly than the usual. She hoped that Winterberry had not gotten any odd ideas; the unicorn was simply curious, that is all.
"So, anyway, follow me to my room, where the crystals are..."
In reply, the mare followed the other to her room, inwardly wondering exactly how many crystals her friend had.
((sorry I was a bit slow when replying. Was busy ^^; ))

((It's ok! ^^))
Once they entered her room, Winterberry smiled. "Well, here we are!" She said proudly.
In Winterberry's room, there was of course, a bed, which was to the right. Against the left wall there was a desk. Around the walls were some shelves that were high up. And, on those shelves, were Winterberry's crystal collection. Most of her crystals were white and cyan. There were also some pinkish ones, and very few green ones.
"So, what do you think?" She asked.

[[Um, yeah. PWS is right. You should read about the Xanadian culture, Angel. It clearly states that there is no technology in Xanadia, and not many Xanadians know that technology exists (especially nit the young.) And most elders actually fear technology. That is why they want to hide themselves from the surrounding world. ]]

((Well, thanks for letting me know, and PWS, next time PM me about it instead of posting please! It would be much easier. <_< Edit: Ok, thanks, WS. Sorry about that.))

((ack. I'm really slow -_- I can't remember if this is during the day or night.))
The unicorn found that the room rather like the other room, yet it was the crystals that set it apart. How many there were, MeadowGreen couldn't tell, but she could tell the beauty of each little stone as they twinkled and shimmered were the light touched them. She found herself staring at them, enchanted by the pretty colours they gave off from the reflected light.
"So, what do you think?"
MeadowGreen turned her head in Winterberry's direction and gave her a warm smile. "They're beautiful..." She said with an awed voice. "How did you get so many of them? Where did you find them?"
She was full of questions, which was odd for her since she was usually a quiet little pony, but such pretty stones caught her interest. She had no desire for them, since she didn't really see the need for them; to her, her harp was worthy of many jewels and nothing could ever replace it. Yet she was curious.

((Ok, no problem! ^^))
The white mare smiled to Meadow. "Well, I've collected them in caves over the years." She replied. "It's taken me so long to aquire them, and I hope to find more someday. Of course, I make sure it's ok to take them before I do."

"Caves..." The unicorn murmured with a smile. She moved to the side a little as she watched the crystals twinkle. When she changed her point of view, it seemed as though the shiny stones were alive, battling it out to be the most shiny and attention-grabbing. Of course MeadowGreen knew the stones where not alive, but it was the way they sparkled that reminded her of the sparkle each lively spirit and life has.
"It seems reasonable enough that you would find them in caves, though it likely would have taken you a great deal of time to have collected so many," she continued. " Are the caves you look through in Xanadia only though? Or have you travelled to other places outside of Xanadia?"

The white mare noticed MeadowGreen watching the crystals. Winter smiled, and responded,
"Well, you see, I did only collect them here, and yes, it did take me a great amount of time to aqquire them. Of course, it seems that the caves here have quite a few of the crystals, but of course, I didn't want to be greedy and take most of them, so every now and then, I only took a few."
Her mind flashed back to the time she found her very first crystal. It was very long ago, she was only 8. She remembered she went to a cave with her mother, and she saw tons of beautiful, sparkly crystals. She remembered wanting one, but she didn't want to steal from a cave, so she asked the tour guides of the cave if she could take one home for a souvenier, the tour guide let her, of course. She always remembered to ask before stealing from caves, and of course, other places.

The green unicorn smiled gently at the others reply. "That's very noble of you," she said with a pleased ring to her musical voice. "I'm glad to know that you are not corrupted by greed and your own selfish needs. It is not every day I meet one who is thoughtful of those who may be affected by your own actions, and is aware to at least keep a great number of nature's beauties where they rightfully belong." "Oh, I forgot, Shadow Star is supposed to come by! I hope he didn't forget!"
MeadowGreen turned to look at the white mare in surprise. She was vaguely aware of a little hurtful pang she felt when she remembered that the handsome stallion they had met earlier on was planning to give Winterberry a visit. However...
"What do you mean?" The unicorn asked, turning to look at Winterberry with a puzzled expression. "I though Shadow was going to meet you tomorrow afternoon?"((Angel, we are still on the same night as when they went to the Inn for dinner. ^-^ it isn't the next day just yet. It's understandable that you might of forgotten though, it has been ages since that dinner post, and I was reading through it and realised that MeadowGreen had already had some of her questions about the crystals answered. But if you want, I can get MeadowGreen on the move, so you can move to the next day and meet up with Shadow Star at the arranged time so he can observe ye crystals Also I thought that Shadow Star was going to meet Winterberry infront of the Inn? See Topic: "Early Evening Coffee", Page 5, posts #62 and #64 ^-^ btw, I don't think Winterberry should be possessing a clock. O.o iI know you described it as a wooden clock, but still isn't the clock (no matter what it is made of) something of technology, and requires elctricity/some other form of chemical energy such as a battery? And I doubt it could be solar power generated either since that is also derived from technology and sciences. However, if is is a sun dial clock, it should be alright. Just keep in mind that Xanadia does not have any electricity, electronics or other modern day gadgets born from technology. ^-^))

[[just popping by quickly to say that Silver's right on all accounts. Sun dial would be all right but it would be difficult to have one indoors, as it will likely not be able to be used for about half of the day because of the sun's moving away from the window. Unless her roof is entirely made of glass. That might work - maybe. I'm not altogether as familiar with sundials as I should be. I'll have to check on that. However, if you want to get around the whole clock-problem, just make Winterberry be able to read the sun for approximate time. One can tell time enough to decipher which hour is at hand if one can read the sun. ]]
