Lilatov delicately stepped into the inn, her purple cat's eyes catching the light first, seeming to glow in the blue haze, and her dark body seemed to slowly form out of the shadows as she gracefully slid against the door. There was a gentle shirrrshirr as her coat rubbed against the building, but there was no other sound, not even from her hooves striking the ground.
She held her head proudly, pointedly looking only at the barmaid. She had just done a leisurely walk around, and she'd managed to trap a bad dream on it's way to the nursery. Oh it had squirmed delightfully as she'd ground it to dust. Little horrible thing, off to scare the foals. And what Lilatov wanted now, at this very moment, was nothing more then some hot steamed milk with a bit of almond flavor.
She placed her order, placed her tab on the counter, and curled up in a booth, clutching the steaming treat close to her muzzle. Oh, how she loved the soothing thick smell of warm drinks. She allowed her eyes to close to little slits, and enjoyed the experience. She also was very careful to hold her pose in such a way to say I am not interested in you right now. You may be interested in me, but right now I'm busy being happy, which is rather important, and if you interrupt me being happy I might swat you like a bad dream.

The white mare then noticed a handsome stallion trot it. Her eyes were gazing into his. She wasn't sure what to say, she was completely still for a moment....
When he was looking at her. She smiled her sweet, pretty smile. "Hello." She said gently and gracefully. "My name is Winterberry. What would yours be?"

Thorn eyes were suddenly drawn to Lilatov, as she entered the Inn. She was mysterious, and Thorn was very compelled to learn more about her. But he read it all in her pose, she wished to be left alone.
He looked back at the other two, and he grinned.
"My name is Thorn. It's nice to meet you, Winterberry. And you," He nodded to MeadowGreen. "But I don't believe I know your name."

The green unicorn hesitated for a moment before answering. "MeadowGreen." She said softly. "That is my name. A pleasure to meet you, Thorn."

The white mare smiled at Thorn. But then something else popped into her mind, Shadow Star. She then realized that she liked him, too! Oh, now she couldn't make up her mind between the two handsome stallions! What would she do? She was stuck between them! She decided not to think about it for now.

(cont. from the forest) Just then, a gorgeous red mare stepped into the inn. She walked over to the small group of ponies, and noticed one of them was a stallion. She smiled. Excellent, maybe this stallion will notice my beauty! She thought. She smiled. "Hello there!" She said. "I am Red Velvet. And who are you?"
Winterberry smiled in greeting. "I am Winterberry!" She said cheerfully. "It is nice to meet you, Red Velvet!"

"MeadowGreen." Thorn repeated, nodding his head once again in recognition. He then nodded for the third time to Red Velvet, the new comer. "Hello, I'm Thorn."
He was polite to her but his eyes were drawn back to Lilatov. The air of mysterious that surrounded her intruiged Thorn, and he desperately wanted to go over to the mare, but he did not want to leave the others hanging.
"So," Thorn coughed. "I hope I didn't interrupt anything. It seemed that the two of you were leaving, and I don't want to stop you." He didn't want the other two to leave, but he didn't want to feel like a bother, as if he had stopped them from leaving.

Lilatov gently sipped her drink, relishing it's warm flavor. Her ears swiveled towards the conversation, and her predator's eyes followed. She had heard an unpleasent murmuring, one that hadn't seemed to follow suite with the rest of the flirtatious and subdued chatter.
Her eyes fixed on a spot to the right of the white mare, and she gazed intently. A nightmare was coelescing, and it probably intended to latch on to the mare. If they could hitch a ride through the front door, then they could circumvent the dreamcatchers entirely, and feast richly on the negative dreams of their victims.
The bad little dreamling was forming into a mutated two headed stallion, each one muttering that they liked someone else better and they'd never love her. One of the heads looked disgustingly like the stallion present. Nasty, nasty thing. Near her, Lilatov, of all things. Stupid, then.
She glided silently out of the booth, moving like liquid to the far side of the inn. Hidden in shadows only her eyes glowed, her dark shimmering body all but invisible, as she circled the dreamling. It mattered not that no one else would know what she was looking at, and she didn't care that they couldn't see the dreams. This was her prey, and truth be told she took some pleasure in the stalking.
Silently she crept closer to the chatting group, quietly enough that it was possible that they may not have noticed her. The dreamling finally realized that it was not invisible to this predatory pony, and it scuttled closer to the white mare, huddling near her front hoof.
Lilatov grinned maliciously and stepped towards to group. The dreamling dashed back towards the shadows and Lilatoc deftly crunched it under her rear hoof. It made a satisfying noise.
Her work done, she began to turn away, feeling no need to introduce herself or explain her actions. Then she paused, inhaling deeply. Her rich deep eyes focused on Winterberry.
"You smell like steak," she grinned. "Delicious...Do tell me you saved me a bite, dear heart."
(ooc: unless your characters have the mystical power to see dream things BEFORE they are dreams, then it would have been invisible, which means her actions would have seemed mighty strange indeed)

Red Velvet smiled at Thorn. "It is nice to meet you, Thorn." She replied with her charming voice.
Winterberry then felt something near her hooves. She jumped a bit. "Eek, something was near my hooves!" She said, a bit freaked out.
She then heard someone talk to her. "Uh....uh...." She said to whoever was speaking to her. She wasn't sure what else to say, she wasn't sure what to think of the pony, or whatever it was.
Red Velvet looked at the newcomer and sighed a bit.
She turned her gaze to the stallion. "Thorn, maybe we could go someplace quiet, and we could, get to know each other." She said softly and sweetly.

Thorn raised his eyebrow again at the white mare. "There's nothing there." He said, peering down where her hooves were.
But there was something he did notice - Sombody that he noticed. Lilatov, the mare that somehow reminded him of a slinky black cat - Or purple, rather. He found her comment very odd but he disregarded it.
Thorn couldn't help being curious. He was just about to approach the mare when something brought him back to reality with a thud.
"Thorn, maybe we could go someplace quiet, and we could, get to know each other."
He flicked his ears back. The question was just so random, it seemed to come out of nowhere. A black forelock fell into his eyes, making him look sort of handsome, as he thought over the question.
He suddenly grinned. Maybe he could have some fun with this.
"Sure," He said, as he began to leave the inn. He ushered Red Velvet out first, then looked back at MeadowGreen, rolled his eyes then winked. He then dissapeared from the inn.

Lilatov frowned at the stammering white mare. She obviously had not had the forthought to save some for her. And didn't Lilatov deserve a nice rich steak now and again? Yes I do. She thought to herself, answering her own internal question. Lilatov almost got the impression that not only had Winterberry failed to give her steak, but she'd also forgotten that she'd eaten it for dinner. Lilatov thought of ordering her own, but realized she was too impatient tonight. Better to finish her drink and stalk the night then feel cooped up while waiting for her treat.
"Hmph, then maybe you should brush your teeth, it smells like meat." Lilatov snapped.
She turned, and decided to spare the other patrons a quick glance. Ah..the head of the nursery was here, which explained why the bad dreamling was trying to sneak in to the nursery earlier tonight. A chipper pony with light pink hair, a golden pony, very interesting to look at, a green unicorn that smelled...like springtime, in a way, and the befuddled white mare. Hm.
Lilatov cantered back to her booth, intently finishing her drink before it grew even more cold.

The red mare trotted out of the in, smiling. She finally found a handsome stallion. She was happy as ever.
The white mare blinked a few times and tried to smile, but something about Lilatov was something Winterberry didn't like. She was hoping her and Meadowgreen could leave soon so she wouldn't have to be near this strange pony.

Lilatov finished her drink, and regarded the scene. It appeared to her that most activity had settled down, so there wasn't much to keep her here.
She slid out of the booth and stretched, gracefully arching her back. It felt so nice to have something warm in her belly before heading out into the spring chill.
She arched her neck upwards and swished her long tail impatiently. Time to go.
Silently she glided out the door, intent now on relishing the evening. She planned to do another quick check on the nursery and other residences to look for bad dreamlings, and then to the woods.

The white mare watched as Lilatov walked out of the inn. She sighed a sigh of releif. She was pretty much glad that mare had left, let alone left Winterberry alone. She didn't want to be bothered, especially by other ponies she didn't really like. And Lilatov seemed like a strange mare. But Winterberry decided not to think about it.
She turned to the unicorn. "Well, shall we go?" She asked with a grin.

She smiled and nodded to Red Velvet in greeting.
The green unicorn looked at Winterberry, her head tilted to the side in confusion. She quietly agreed with Thorn; there was nothing she could see near the white mare's leg.
Steak? MeadowGreen thought puzzled, but then remembered that Winterberry had been eating steak eariler, and so the other pony must of smelt it in the white mare's breath. But she found it odd that Lilatov would ask for some. It was as though the pony expected a stranger to share their meal with her for no reason.
MeadowGreen watched Thorn and Red Velvet leave together. She only just caught the stallion’s expression though when he looked back at her and the meaning was a bit of a shock to understand at first. She sighed quietly, trying to suppress a smile that wanted to come up unwillingly. Stallions… at times, I find them difficult to understand...
Seeing that there was nothing else that caught her attention, the unicorn turned her attention to her friend standing beside her and nodded with a smile. "Lead the way."
