((Cont. from the nursery))
Xin Jing entered the nice little tavern and sat down at the bar disk. Looking around inside the familiar building, she saw the wood tabels sand the stair that was leading up to the rooms. She wondered if there was any non-Xanadians that were running around upstaris ... of course it was´nt. She got her coffe, and wile sitting there drinking it, she continued thinking if any ofthe ponies around her had been into the world beyond Xanadia, or Fatum...

"I hope for the Great Moon´s sake that the kid is´nt up to no good," Xin murmured. "Oh, moonbeams Lily Of The Valley, what were you thinking?" She rubbed her forehead with one of her hooves, the other holding tight around her cup of coffe. "How could you let your daughter out like that ... you´re risking everybody´s safety." Xin Jing wagged her pink-striped tail and looked at the door. She almost expected the youngster to come in that moment.

The pony that entered was no one Xin knew, but she was from the Northlands, far from this hidden little world. The metallic gold pegasus picked a seat at the bar a few chairs down from Xin and pondered what she wanted. A nice mulled wine, perhaps...yes, Ambrosia thought, that might be nice.

When Xin Jing actually heard the door open the moment after that, she swiftly turned to look in surprise. But no, it was´nt Whisper Wind who came walking inside, but a golden dragon-winged pegasus. The stranger, whom Xin never had seen in Xanadia before, sat down close to her. Xin watched her in concern before rising a hoof. "Hello there." She gave a weak smile as she wondered where the little unicorn had gone to. "Are you new here?"

Ambrosia glanced around. "Not entirely. But my mother last brought me here so long ago that I do not really remember. This makes me as good as new here, I suppose." Every now and again she would come across something that made her pause, and a dim memory surfaced. For the most part, however, this place had escaped her recall. "I am....a long way from home."

Xin rised her head with a slightly concerned look and rolled it over on the side. Her forelock falled down over one of her eyes. "Really? Where are you from?" Without taking her eyes of the mare, she continued steering with her sthingy. She soon forgot about her coffeé.

[[To all parties concerned: is it all right if we embark Shadow Star, MeadowGreen and Winterberry here?]]
The tavern door opened and Shadow Star stepped in. He stopped to the doorway to hold the door open for his two mare companions like a gentleman should. The squirrel from his shoulder jumped off and scuttled over to a table in the corner, which she apparently thought to be a good one for them. Shadow Star glanced at her, a little amused. Sometimes he forgot that Streaks was a mere squirrel, such a pony-like way she behaved.

MeadowGreen walked in quietly, nodding thanks to Shadow Star with a polite smile.
((not sure on what else to say O.o ))

(cont. from the streets) The white mare walked into the door, thanking the kind stallion for his politeness. She watched as the squirrel found them a table. Winterberry giggled and followed Streaks. She sat down at the table. "Well, this is indeed a nice place." She mentioned. She looked over at Shadow and smiled her prettiest smile.

Shadow Star smiled to Winterberry and then drew a chair for MeadowGreen, being his polite self as he was. Then he sat down himself, looking around the place.
"Yes, it is quite a... nice place," he agreed after a while. "I haven't come to think of it before. I tend to forget to look around me." He chuckled. "I suppose that's just what too much studying does to you."

Winterberry nodded to Shadow. She saw that he was being polite to Meadowgreen. She was hoping that he didn't like her, because Winterberry was the one who had a crush on Shadow Star. She decided not to worry about it much. She picked up her menu and looked at it.

MeadowGreen smiled and said a soft thankyou when Shadow offered the chair to her. She took the seat gratefully, removing her case from her back and settling it carefully on her lap. ((If ponies have laps XD ))
He is quite the gentleman... MeadowGreen thought with a smile, Shadow's politeness still in her mind. She tilted her head to the side and considered the unicorn.
I wonder if he has a taste for music though... It feels a little awkward; he is being so kindly and giving us a meal, just because Cold left us... I feel as though I should give him a little something in return, and my songs seem to please ponies...
Golden eyes fell upon the sweet little squirrel that had earlier got them the seating, and from what she remembered from earlier, seemed to have kept close the black unicorn. "I noticed that you keep a squirrel for a companion by the way she stays close to you." MeadowGreen said smiling pleasantly at the squirrel, though obviously talking to Shadow. "Does she have a name?"

Shadow Star looked at Streaks and then at MeadowGreen, smiling a bit.
"Yes, well, I call her Streaks, anyway," he said. "I really can't tell if she has a name or not. I'm quite fluent in the ancient tongues, but squirrel is one of the languages I have yet to master." He smiled to the little animal pleasantly. "She does keep a good company, though. She always reminds me when it's time to go to eat."

"Streaks..." She said. "A fitting nickname for a squirrel. But I never thought it was possible to learn how to speak squirrel."
Of course, MeadowGreen usually had an understanding between her and woodland creatures, though she could never speak their language like her elder sister could.
"Animals do make good companions." She said. "They are good listeners too when you want someone to talk to..."
